Clinical Business Development Directors

A Clinical Business Development Director is responsible for the direction and oversight of clinical trial development. For this line of work, an ideal candidate must possess a strong knowledge of proper medical procedures in addition to a robust business sense, for the Clinical Business Development Director is typically responsible for developing the business models, strategic plans and budgets associated with clinical trials. Additionally, qualified individuals must be able to sell their programs and ideas. Clinical Business Development Directors must also be able to communicate effectively and work well with others, as part of a team or in a collaborative relationship.

 

Clinical Business Development Directors usually possess a four-year degree in a medical-related field and commonly have experience developing and implementing clinical trials. These professionals sometimes also hold an MBA or four-year business degree.
